Our Story
We are a small YES (Young Enterprise Scheme) business run by 3 students, Sienna Hamann, Sineade Mcgrath and Edie Shepley from New Plymouth Girls Highschool in Taranaki.
We aim to provide towels that do more than just dry. With magnets in the corners our towels are able to quickly 'snap' around your waist or to the doors of your car to create a on the go changing room. The microfibre towel material will make sure your towel drys fast while also being made from recycled plastics.
First Ideas
We first started our business in early 2025 for school with the name, Secure Sands and the idea of putting pockets into towels which could be filled with sand to prevent the towel from flying away. This idea then developed into the magnet towels that we are selling today.
Spark Tank
We then continued developing our idea before taking it to the 2025 Taranaki Spark Tank event to get advice from other entrepreneurs and business people. While at Spark Tank we had the opportunity to talk to many knowledgeable people who help to further develop Versa Towel.
